Convenient for central Coventry, but staff felt part time - more like a pub with rooms than a hotel

It was an economical place to stay for the night. Reception and bar staff were helpful but over worked.
The hotel is showing its age and needs some investment regarding external appearances. The rooms suffered noise from taxis, closing doors and noise from the corridors

Comfortable, friendly service, food and drink were fine.
Only seemed to be one member of staff, so he wasn't always there when you needed him.

This was a nice hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The restaurant served lovely food. The staff were helpful though a little stretched as they were covering the bar, restaurant and reception. Car parking was easy to access and lots of it. Internet didn't work in room at first but with some persistance it worked really well.
Breakfast was very basic with cereal, toast, juice and hot drinks with 1 choice of tinned fruit. You could pay more for a hot breakfast.

I loved ideal and quiet location and how the place is clean. The staff was pretty friendly, as well as owner. The breakfast offered toast and cereals.

Had a fairly nice stay on a Friday and Saturday night, glad I've chosen it. Location: the hotel was so close to gonr down hill a lot, the Godiva Festival and bought up to standard. I checked out Church of st Thomas, that was set around 10-15 minutes walk from the property.

The decor was charming, and the beautiful double room provided an unexpected level of comfort. It exceeded my past experiences at similar places in coventry.
shower pressure was a bit weak.

Close to where I wanted to be - otherwise hotel had little to offer.
This is a 1970s style hotel and hence not the space in the rooms or general appearance one has come to expect today.

Staff were all very helpful and very pleasant, there was ample parking and the continental breakfast was ample.
The room was tiny with no space to move in.

Very welcoming atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of the bedroom furnishings and linen. Excellent value.
The reception and corridors are looking rather tired and are quite a contrast to the excellent quality of the bedrooms, the restaurant and the bar areas.
